Drift City was a Korean online racing game on the Gamebryo engine. Our work on it is research first: the formats and class model written down, an SDK over them, and the mods and the rebuild that follow.
Finished
| DC-Encyclopedia | 46 chapters on Drift City's Gamebryo formats, data tables, class model and systems. |
| DC-SDK | A C++ SDK: readers and writers for the archives, tables and world files, and a runtime layer for mods. |
| DCLoader | A mod loader: replacement archives and files in a folder, loaded as if they were the originals. |
| DCMenu | Hooks into Drift City's own menu and UI framework, so a mod's options become real controls in the game's menus. |
| DCFX | A graphics mod: an F12 menu, a switch for the cel-shaded outlines, and depth captured for effects. |
In development
| DC-Rebuild | An open-world runtime that loads Drift City's own world data, being built so anyone with an install can drive the real tracks with the original assets. It is at its fourth milestone. |
