HnREncyclopedia is a reference for The Simpsons: Hit & Run on PC. It covers the game's file formats, data structures, classes and subsystems, and every claim is grounded in the retail data set or in the retail executable's own type information.
The rule it is written to: nothing is asserted about the files that the parser can't reproduce, and nothing is asserted about the class model that the executable's RTTI does not contain.
How it is laid out
- A glossary: terminology, the master table of all 179 Pure3D chunk identifiers in the retail data, a file-extension index, and a catalogue of every file in the game.
- 51 chapters, each a hub page with focused deep dives beside it, built up from the Pure3D container format to the game's systems.
- The Legend: an index of every named thing in the game, from functions and vehicles to costumes, missions and classes, each verified by extraction.
- RE-Data: the data behind it all as 24 JSON tables, among them the class model, the chunk table and the full script command vocabulary.
It is written alongside DonutsSDK, and the two share their data.
