SFLauncher is where a Soldier Front Legacy player starts. It signs them in, keeps the game's files right, and starts the game. It is a C++ rebuild of the earlier launcher that keeps its gold-and-dark military look, drawn with VanGUI on Direct3D 9.
What it does
| Account | Sign in, create a free account, verify an email address, and reset a forgotten password with a code from that email. |
| Profile | The player's rank, SP and XP, kill/death ratio and score, refreshed on demand. |
| Game files | Game download, patch download, a file check and a full repair. Starting the game repairs anything that is wrong first. |
| Clans | Create, join and leave a clan; invite and remove members; transfer ownership or disband; and the clan ranking. Anything that can't be undone asks first. |
| Friends | Friends and friend requests. |
The window is laid out on a 1280 x 720 grid and scales evenly to any size, held at 16:9 while it is resized. Progress and results show as notices that resolve in place. Before it sends anything, it checks that the server's certificate is the one it expects.
For the client itself there are SFOn12, for frame rate, and SFController, for controllers.
